In Old Ayudha, there lived a couple named,

gold and his wife, Nang Song Sai went to her father's house to tell him about
he husband's situation. The next day, Nai Hah Tong and Nang Song Sai asked Nang
Song Sai's dad directions on how to turn copper into gold. They followed the
directions given and after how many years of hard work, Nang Song Sai's dad
told them to get two kilos of banana fuzz and sell them, and so they followed
him again and got rich. But they were rich fools for believing him on turning
copper to gold, Nang Song Sai's dad then explained to them that it is
impossible to turn copper into gold. Later they realized that Nang Song Sai's
dad was right so they made a statue of him for Nai Hah Tong wants the next
generation of their sons to remember how foolish he was at that time with his
father in law's wisdom.
Intro:
The Gold Harvest is a Thailand folktale. This
story is about a guy who dreamed to turn the copper into gold. Reading this
story is somehow very good and it boost my interest on how they turn the copper
into gold. This story may be unbelievable yet we can still apply the lessons in
real life.
This blog will not only contain
about the story it also contain my opinions and it also contain lessons from
the story.
Body:
The story happened in
Ayudhya, a Siamese kingdom. According to Wikipedia.com,
Ayudhya is also know as Ayutthaya, Ayutthaya was friendly towards foreign
traders, including the Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Indians, Japanese, Koreans, Persians, and later the Spaniards, Dutch, English, and French, permitting them to set up villages outside the walls
of the capital, also called Ayutthaya.
In the 16th century, it was described by foreign traders
as one of the biggest and wealthiest cities in the East. The court of
King Narai (1656–1688) had strong links with that of
King Louis XIV of France, whose
ambassadors compared the city in size and wealth to Paris.
Nai Hah Tong and Nang Song Sai is the
main character in the story. Nai Hah Tong is the one who dreamed to turn the
copper into gold and he is the husband of Nang Song Sai.
“If a person wants his or her
dreams to come true he must work hard on it and move, because if you are lazy
enough you cant reach your dream” this quote means that you can’t
achieve anything if you are doing nothing.
For me, we need to work hard because we can’t achieve anything in life
if we are lazy.
Conclusion:
This story is not only about being rich
but it also teaches us that we need to have our own self-determination, courage and self-confidence.
It also teaches us that we need to work hard in order to survive in life.
Laziness is not an excuse.
