Body:
The story happened in Ayudhya, a Siamese kingdom. According to Wikipedia.com, Ayudhya is also know as Ayutthaya, Ayutthaya was friendly towards foreign traders, including the ChineseVietnamesePortugueseIndiansJapaneseKoreansPersians, and later the SpaniardsDutchEnglish, and French, permitting them to set up villages outside the walls of the capital, also called Ayutthaya.
In the 16th century, it was described by foreign traders as one of the biggest and wealthiest cities in the East. The court of King Narai (1656–1688) had strong links with that of King Louis XIV of France, whose ambassadors compared the city in size and wealth to Paris.

Nai Hah Tong and Nang Song Sai is the main character in the story. Nai Hah Tong is the one who dreamed to turn the copper into gold and he is the husband of Nang Song Sai.

“If a person wants his or her dreams to come true he must work hard on it and move, because if you are lazy enough you cant reach your dream” this quote means that you can’t achieve anything if you are doing nothing.

For me, we need to work hard because we can’t achieve anything in life if we are lazy.

Conclusion:
This story is not only about being rich but it also teaches us that we need to have our own self-determination, courage and self-confidence.  It also teaches us that we need to work hard in order to survive in life. Laziness is not an excuse.
